just looked in the haynes book of lies yup adjusters should have been adjusted looks like am going to have to take them off and do it myself saying that the brakes still work fine better than they did but would rather have them perfect just incase something brakes any easy guides on here for doing this i don't trust those manuals ?

How do you get the circlip out if it hasn't got any hole to use circlip pliers?

For a start its not a circlip, that's why circlip pliers wont work
