Hi,

As per topic, took my daughter out in car yesterday put her in back behind passenger seat and the footwell behind there was flooded!!!. No blockages in door or leaks from above and the only thing I could find was slight water when I lifted the back seat up. There appears to be like a black seal there. Is this where it was coming from??? Need to add car was parked on a driveaway at no angle so god knows how this got in the car!!

Your thoughts appreciated as always!!!

Thanks for your replies Guys!!!

It is a 5 door car, and only the rear passenger carpet was wet, rest of car was completely dry.

Surely cannot be heater matrix as that is underneath the dash and front would be wet.

Boot is dry but has been slightly wet in the past. I think will silicone up the seals underneath the rear seat and see what happens especially since it is still peeing down with rain at the moment Very Happy

Probably coming in through the boot seal and trickling into the car (the footwells being the lowest point in the car). Water can be a funny thing, you only can find it in the one place it ends up and you have to trace it back to the source.

Open the boot and see if the ducts have any evidence of water

will you have to check the rear passenger door, pour some water on the window, while you are checking the door cards lower part,if you get wet hands, that means that you need to get fixed, will tell you how if it turns to be that is the cause.
