I have searched and I was un-able to find anything, so apolgies if I was stupid and I missed it.

Basically, looking to service my T Reg 206, Its done just over 100k, so, what will I need to do for the 100k Service?

I needs doing, as I need to stick it in for its MOT soon, as It ran out around 2 Months ago, but I have been unable to drive it anyway, So I haven't been on the roads with it, don't worry!

Also wanted to ask, basically, The TAX Ran out, then the MOT did, now to Tax it you obviously need an MOT, But with no tax I can't drive in on the road to the MOT station, can I?

Yes you can,but the MOT MUST be a pre-booked appointment, you can't just drive to an MOT station in the hope they can fit you in
Also be aware you may NOT be insured,so before you do anything ring your insurance company to see what they say

Yes I own a CC and I'm neither gay or a hairdresser!!

So, driving on the road with no Tax/MOT may be an issue with the insurers? I can understand that. Like, It may invalidate it?

So, I'm going to needed to be first insured (I think that runs out shortly too, can you get insured against a car with no Tax/MOT?) Then I'll need to ring them to ask about getting it to an MOT Station with no Tax? Or?

Yes as most insurers stipulate that the car must be legal to use on the road
So no mot would invalidate your insurance, basically if you ring them up and explain the car needs an mot etc the may say it's ok so long as it's a prebooked mot and you drive straight there and straight back (if it fails!!)
If you do ring keep a note of the date and time, ask if the call is being recorded and ask for the advisors name, that way if anything does go wrong you can give that information and say Mr brown told me it would be ok

So, what if the insurance runs out? I need to find the details on it, its sat for a while now. can I drive it to the Garage with no Insurance (The garage is literally 20 seconds around the corner) Or TAX or obviously MOT?

I'm guessing I wont be able to get insurance for it considering it has no MOT or TAX it it has run out... And then the only option would be a trailer?

You can't have a car on a public road without at least TP insurance. If the insurance runs out you must declare a SORN even if it is parked on the driveway.
You can get insurance without tax, but you can't get tax without insurance and MOT.

If the garage is so close, ask them to walk round for the car and take it back using trade plates. Everyone's happy then.

Im 99.9% sure that I declared it SORN, I remember filling in the paperwork, its been so long since I've done anything with it, not had the time or cash.

So, I can get insurance with no tax, but I can't get it with no Tax or MOT, I think? Gosh does it have to be so confusing! Crying or Very sad

Probably just try to get em to take it on Trade Plates then.

You can drive to a PRE BOOKED mot apointment without tax BUT the car must be insured.

You can only go straight there / home again until its passed the mot & taxed.

Also the mot garage must be nearby where you live.

I may just get someone who can drive any car and be insured to nip it over and then I book it in, its only just around the corner so would that be OK?

YOUR car still has to be insured for someone elses driving other cars third party insurance cover to be valid Wink

If the mot has already ran out then its NOT ok to drive it to go & make the apointment, the apointment has to be prebooked.

God dammit, so either way, asking nicely for them to take it on trade plates is looking like the only option?

I'll book it in then and try and get them to pick it up, failing that, is a trailer my only option, unless I push it, which, I won't.

Pick the bloody phone up & book it in.

You will be ok to drive it to the garage for the prebooked mot apointment & then home again to fix it / post office to tax it when its passed.

Even with no insurance? I just don't want to get caught out by it, because knowing my luck I'll pull out of my road and a bloody police car will be sitting there.
