UPDATE: Managed to swing a chance to fit a bsi, ecu, fuse box, and key fob. All fitted. connected the battery as normal and done a 'soft start' of the bsi etc. turned the key (before a crank) and about 5 seconds after the center display came up with Engine Immobiliser Fault. Will still crank but still no firing.
There was no buzzing, clicks or anything from the engine area (i.e. ecu)
Plugged it into PP, got comms to everything apart from the Engine ECU.
So anyone, any ideas where to go from here?
What exactly is the box that is bolted to the back of the battery box. someone said that this provides power to the ecu? How correct is that?
