Ok so after speaking to a few people here, lots of googling and reading MANY posts here on the various matters i've took a trip down the "budget coilover setup" path

JOM Coilys £149
Lemforder drop links £30 (with discount)
SKF top mount kit with bearings £45 (with discount)
Meyle HD lower arms £118

Work to be carried out (hopefully) by the much recommended KrisB taking the total to just under £500. Will post some pics of the results when done, just wondering if anyone has had a similair walk and how they feel about the results (im not expecting a track car, just something with stance and a better ride than 4 knackered shocks lol)

Work already carried out was a amped 12" 800w sub for £20 and kenwood 50w 5.25's in front doors for £40,im such a skint flint Smile Next on the agenda is bodywork repairs, panel reallignment and partial respray for £450 (it helps to know people)

So thanks to you guys for the nudges in right direction, and the project SHALL continue Very Happy

I can vouch for KrisBs work, I just got my rear axle and top mounts replaced by him. He done a great job and was a really friendly guy. Also the roads around where he is are great for spirited road tests Wink

I've never even heard of JOMs until last week since then I have heard it three times Laughing

Are you replacing the top mounts / wishbones because you want to or because they actually need replacing?

If you have gone from standard / broken suspension you will notice a world of difference - even with cheap coilovers Smile

Might have to use them roads to test the new ride then Smile

I had lower arms replaced but the ones installed have caused me endless problems with tracking,torque-steer like behaviour etc,so they're being replaced because needs to be done. and if everything else is getting done i'd rather spent the extra tonne and get it all done incase the arms have worn/damaged anything else

Just waiting to hear back from Kris atm.....need get his number as currently relying on him checking email lol
