hey guys,

this has just started in the last few days, when im starting up the car ( Gti 138 ) thewidle will go up to 1.5k stay there a second or two then drop back down to just below 1k

it wil then slowley rise back up to 1.5k and continue to do this until i drive off, doesnt appear to do it when the engine is hot.

car is driving fine although it did seem a little jumpy, like it was bunyhoping when crawling in trafic in 1st gear between 1-2k revs but just very slightly.

anyone got any ideas? im thinking a sensor but wouldnt know which one! just thought i would ask on here before going to a garage and puting it on a diagnostic machine.

thanks,
Karl.
