Hi guys, just recently having a problem with the engine of my 180 hunting and the revs dropping in the first 10 seconds of start up. The car is vibrating quite badly at points within this first 10 seconds also. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Lewis

Map sensor was recently suggested to me, unplug it and see how it goes.

Will do, I've had a clean of spark plugs which were very black :/ only 8 months old. Cleaned the VVT sensor, and cleaned the inlet pipe around the butterfly! Can't give you reliable results until tomorrow morning though that's when the answers will be really apparent when it's at it's coldest. The MAF sensor is next on my list but I couldn't work out which one it was, is it the yellow clip on the intake?

checked out my pug expert friend person... said to do an intialization or whatever you call it...essentially resetting the ecu... wasnt able to do it yesterday cuz he was way to busy.. will let you know how it goes

reason he said so was that a guy with a 2.0 307 was having the same issue and ttried it and it worked..

After cleaning spark plugs, VVT sensor and butterfly it seems to have solved the prOblem, the plugs were so black, is that normal? Only replaced in December 2011 :/
