My clock/central display on my newly aquired 2002 206 is really dim.
I think it is the 3 backlight bulbs that need replacing.
Does anyone know the exact type of bulb I can google to buy and even give me a URL.
The problem i have found is that the contacts are not directly above one another and slightly off set making some bulbs I have already bought obsolete
HELP!!!

there is 2 buttons on the instrument cluster, the one on the left is to dim the interior lighting and the one on the right is to rest the mileometer.
or on different models the dimer is a wheel next to the air bag light so id try that before buying bulbs

Just go to a Peugeot / Citroen main dealer & buy them, there cheap enough.

You need a new battery. Old one isn't powerful enough.

? It will start the car, but not power 3 12v bulbs? Bulbs have blown, Halfords will sell them.

Dont know if it is these, I can't tell form the ebay pic but what makes the bulbs awkward to buy is the fact that the metal contacts are not directly above each other like the ebay pictures make it look like.

I just replaced clock and dashboard backlight LED's. I bought a set that didn't fit before finding these: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280..._500wt_923
You need to bend the top metal part down slightly so they fit in tightly.
Edit: Same as the ones posted previously! The metal contacts don't need to be directly above each other. The difference between the "wrong" type is that the metal connectors are too far apart to be a tight fit, or that they are too long so wont fit in. The ones linked have a bend in the metal contacts so they can be twisted into place.
Example of the wrong type to buy: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180...727wt_1397

Thanks for the info, is it the clock with the 3 backlights?
Did you bend the top contact downward to the other contact only? or sideward as well to match the original bulb?

My clock has a single LED (orange display above hazard button). The bulb fits in anything behind the dash (2001 206 1.1L lx - doubt it matters though) - I bent the top contacts down only - slightly, maybe 1 mm at the most. Twisted the old ones out, twisted the new ones in. They are not as perfect as the originals but they are very close. If you bend the contacts down enough they wont rattle and are very sturdy. I noticed also with some other LED's you get a different whiteness to the light and some dash indicators end up weird coloured, like the handbreak indicator being pink instead of red. These ones have basically identical whiteness to the originals.
To be 100% sure it is the LED's just check the voltage across the contacts with a multimeter. Should read around 12v. My dash wouldn't light up and there was no voltage - went straight to the fusebox and saw F22 fuse was missing!

My clock is something like this:
I assume yours is like:
I can't be 100% sure but I think the LED's will be the same. Worth a shot for the price anyway.
