So turns out my issue with the 206 is a ecu fault yet again, turned out it was overheating, when a ecu specialist came to look at it and plugged it into their machine it turned all the lights on it red.

Spoke to them earlier and they said it was full of water, i'm assuming it's got in through the bonnet vent, there is a slight gap between the plastic trim and the bonnet itself.

Anyone with ph1 206's heard or had this issue? I'm assuming that's why they put ecu covers on the ph2 206's.

If the ecu is still servicable & you can get it apart then a small drain hole or 2 correctly located should help in the future.

It would also help if you could stop the water getting in to it in the first place Laughing

The ECU innards are encapsulated in rubber stuff making them water-tight.
This means the board and connectors are efectively stuck onto the ECU casing.

I would open it up (four torx screws underneath) to see what is going-on in there.
See if there is rust shorting the connector metal lines to the rubberized 'block' and just how wet it is in there.
