Hi ppl I have a 206 xsi and its failed on handbrake not being tight enough so any advice on how 2 tighten it would b much appreciated?? Thanks

^ haha. You need to take the rear drum off, check the linings and wheel cylinders. clean it adjust it. then adjust the cable. easy enough if you fairly competent on the spanners. haynes manual should give you a detailed description. Thumb Up

XSI has DISC brakes at the rear NOT drums Rolling Eyes

Is the Peugeot diskbrake model handbrake not like a lot of other cars with the handbrake setup using a small drum and disks for normal braking.

No, not on a 206.

No, not on a 206.

The one thing which is better than my BMW! Pain in the a**e to adjust the handbreak.
