My clutch pedal seems really high. well above the break. i have free play on the pedal now i have removed and refitted the cable. Im unsure to why the pedal is high though. should the pedal rest in the 10mm bolt when raised or is this just for just if the cable snaps to stop the pedal coming too far up.
Thanks Tom

There should be a tiny amount of free-play between the bolt and the pedal to allow the auto adjusting cable to opperate properly.
It's normal on a 206 to have high biting-point but the cable might need replacing.
Thanks

Hi there.
I'm not too sure what you mean. should there be a gap between the bolt and pedal when the pedal is fully raised or should it rest on the bolt but take up a certain amount of free play when you press the clutch down?
I have free play when you press the clutch down, but the pedal does rest on the bolt when fully raised.
I took the cable off and the pedal was still touching the bolt and was really high.
Thanks
