Heya guys..

I have a 53 plate 206 gti180 & since the other day my temp gauge on the dash has been intermittently cutting out for a few seconds and then coming back on and cutting out again

I've made sure the coolant is topped up & checked the fuses but still can't see what's wrong

Would it be a case of needing a new sensor do you think? Or could it be something else?

Also im worried my fan may not work because of this?

Its a wiring fault or a thermostat needing renewing ...put a thermostat in and check for earth connection problems then check for readings with a multimeter or test lamp on the wires to the temp sensor and see wot u get...... failing this u need to get the codes checked mate.
