Have you deployed a airbag and replaced it?

Not sure but doesn't the airbag Ecu need to be reprogrammed by pug once it has deployed a bag

I'm pretty sure Andy had to have his re-programmed or replaced when his side airbag went off, I forget what it cost now though.

Just been out and checked my airbag ECU for it's configuration settings. I only have driver and passenger airbags. It might be different for a pre plex, but this could give you a reference point to start at.

hay guys ok I have spent most of today trying to sort this problem out, I had this error with the seat belts pretension so I went to the scrap yard today and got 2 of them and connected them both and still have the same problem, I am pulling my hair out with it all. I have turned on the car with them disconnected and the airbag light start to flash, so quickly reconnected them, I am pretty sure that the are no connections on the thing that you put your seat belt in to, Arrrrrhhhhhh I don't fancy all of Sunday trying to do all this again and get no result! I am sure that the airbag have never gone off so I can rule that out....
again all and more advise is needed please guys,
I need to get to the bottom of this.

Kind Regards
Dom.....

Have you checked the configuration of the airbag ECU yet?

Check on service box for the characteristics of the car, basically what it left the factory with and it should tell you which airbags were fitted.

On your second screen shot, when you hit "Enter" what fault information did it give you?

Go into the Airbag ECU configuration from the global test, and check to see what is and isn't activated. Check on servicebox as to what is fitted on the car. Activate or deactivate as required and it should sort out the dashlight. If needs be, just set everything to "absent". Set each item as "present" in turn and see which one illuminates the light. Just leave that as absent and you should be sorted and be able to pinpoint the area of the fault.

With you replacing a part I think you may need pug to reconfigure the airbag ecu.
