Im not sure, but i think this is the standard engine bay layout for the 206 1.6 and i know this is where the air box is...

 


But this is my engine layout and im not too sure where the Air Box is on it? Can any one help?

 


None of the pictures are of my car.

oh BTW my car is a 1.6 quiksilver 2005

sorry im not very clever... what does that mean then just peugeot changed the engine bay round to comply with lower emissions?

what are the `lower` emissions in your car with the different layout, would be interested to know. Mine is something like 150-160 g/km co2

According to the official info:

2001 1.6 manual 153g/km
2001 1.6 auto 171g/km

2006 1.6 manual 159 g/km
2007 1.6 auto (tiptronic) 176g/km

All 1.6 16V 110bhp

european emission standard doesn't count CO2 emission at all......

No, the point being, Euro 4 isn't automatically more efficient (uses less fuel; produces less CO2) as Euro 3. Its cleaner, in that harmful contaminants are less, but that's separate to fuel used.

Puggsy you should get a standard air box from an older TU lump.. less restrictive Smile

How would I do that then remove old box and extend air pipe to the old style air box? How would I mount that then?
