Anyone know where I can get one of those performance timer data box things that measure things like your 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times and so on.

I don't want one at a silly price and I don't need lap times and sector times and all that malarkey unless it is all in one. I just want something that measures the standard stats i.e. 1/4 mile, speed, 0-60 0-100 etc.

So obviously it needs to be able to measure the distance I've travelled and the speed I'm going at and time etc. I know that's obvious but no matter what I put into Google or eBay I can't seem to find the sort of device that I'm looking for, or even what they're actually called. I can find similar boxes, but they are like £500 and measure a complete load of crap like laps/sectors/average speeds that I don't need without actually telling me that they do measure the straight-forward stuff 1/4 mile times, sprints and so on. I wouldn't pay half a grand anyway, surely you can get them cheaper than that.

It would be cheaper going to a track day or TRAX etc, where they can measure sprints/speed.
Why would you want to spend £500+ just to know what the times are? It is totally pointless.
What could you do with the info anyway? You know that most hot hatches can beat you anyway, not to mention any decent family car.

Just put the money towards an Impreza WRX.

I got a dig bick.
You that read wrong.
You read that wrong too.

True Neil but then again I said I'd not pay that much. I'd have to be out of my mind. Maybe 100 at the most! Wouldn't want an impreza I know guys on here have done so but only because like the pug it's the cheapest thrill for the money. My brother has one and the interior is no better than an Aldi tin can. Not to mention its only the back end that looks nice and parts are silly money for a decent job unless you know good people.

6k can get you better alternatives, even a 3.2L BMW M3 with decent mileage.

Own a Blue Peugeot 206 GTI 180.

But that's not the question - the question is why would you want to know the figures - to spend £100+ to find out is a complete waste of money. A standard 180 will do 0-60mph in about 7 seconds (mine did it in 7.1 secs).
If you need to know the exact figures then you are obviously in need of a faster car Laughing

Neil probably agrees with me

I blame certain people on here who believe they can"eat type r's for breakfast" and so on.

They think the 180 shines out their a**e and it makes me think mines slow.

Not that I know I'd stand any chance against a type r but to some people I should do.

Read my older threads - makes me think I have a dud.

I want a data box for little more than to compare mine against other 180s. Not interested about getting speeding tickets on public roads Smile

Bring your 180 to Worcestershire - I will tell you if it's a dud Wink
Failing that, ignore the blaggers and just enjoy your 180. A car is only as fast as the driver Very Happy
