Did you use FQR7ME Bosch plugs, right ?

Yes now running Bosch plugs and it feels better than it did. I still think it's running rich though even after replacing the plugs and coolant temperature sensor, so will need further investigation.

Have you carefully checked the exhaust for leaks. Get a mate to block the tail pipe with a rag while you carefully look under the car at the exhaust and under the bonnet also listening for leaks. In my early post I described how even a tiny leak can allow air in, air conatins oxygen, the lambda sees the extra oxygen and thinks the car is running lean so send a signal to the ECU asking for more fuel. Thousands of cars each year fail the MOT for this reason.

Note: you may still have a lambda sensor starting to fail. They don't alway (rarerly) fail completely and don't necessarily cause a fault code. Ask a local garage to do an emmissions test and that will be a better indication.
