Hi guys,

having a few issues with my 2002 multiplex 206 2.0 HDi. The car was bought with an airbag fault. By scanning the fault codes for the airbag it seems the comm2000 unit was at fault. I bought a brand new comm2000 unit from Peugeot and it is exactly the same as the one I removed. The battery went flat a long while ago so I proceeded to remove it and change over the comm unit. The car also had an issue with the indicator stalk as well.

The airbag light has gone out but now the wipers are on all the time on the slowest setting and occasionally the washer motor comes on and squirts the screen.

The car has been jumped started, could a weak battery cause this issue? I tried a BSI reset but to no avail. The other stalk works perfectly now.

Any ideas?

Try soft booting the BSI.

Thanks for the tip. It appears it was due to the battery. I left it hooked up to the other car for 15 minutes and tried again and all seems to be fine.

I'll buy a new battery for piece of mind.

Most garages can test the battery for you, before you buy a new one...

There is a guide on here on how to fit it. It is easy to follow. I had to replace my comms last year. I got it from ECP for just over £100. They had a discount code for 30% off at the time.
