hi all, im new here and need some help
im looking at buying a 2002 206, however the engine has been replaced from a 1.4 to a 1.4 from a 306, however the starter motor makes a crunch when it starts, once started the car drives fine, the seller a mechanic has re assured me the fly wheel is fine and that the 306 engine has a 206 starter motor and it needs the bigger 306 starter, however looking on euro car parts etc the starter motor for a 206 and 306 are identical ? according to the spec.
there could be a chance the original 206 starter was the wrong one for that car however I am abit wary
any help would be appreciated, Nathan!

Might look the same, but the starter teeth could be different. Whay didn't he replace with a 1.4 206 engine? I would give it a miss tbh, plenty of cars available.
