Hi there 206 Friends.
I Am in need of a little help, got a 1.6 8V Roland garros (2000) WReg
I Have an alternator has died (need to get new one) but had no choice in driving back home from neath south wales to sheerness Kent, i managed to get on the M25 till the car died, so called the aa who was there within 10 mins, the plan was to to stick another battery on and he wall fallow, but for some reason the dreaded management light has come on and can not restart the car, so it was a free lift back home, i charged my battery over night put it back in the car and that light is still on and cant start the car, plenty of battery so can someone think if what it could be? im so stressed with this car now please please someone out there "Help ME"

Kind Regards
Dom.....

How go you know the alternator is dead? I can't imagine you would get 50 miles with a dead alternator.

get the codes up as said. could be a number of things. One time when we had a 1.4 that wouldn't start it turned out to be the crank shaft sensor was dodgy

8628 or 8272 as stated in the picture?

From looking at the picture, it's possible that it's linked to the immobiliser. Quite common for the aerial to need replacing at the ignition barrel.
