Hey there, my steering is slightly off centre the car doesn't pull to one side but when I move the steering to the dead on centre it moves over to the right? Is it just tracking needing doing I had it done about 8 month ago -.-

Just done mine today! This was a hard week for me, redoing the front suspension! Had the steering wheel problem which was slightly off. I went and did an alignement and it fixed it. Wanted to try the previous method but the thought of not re-fitting it right made me squirm!

The nightmare of front suspension! I remember when I did mine. My wheel was off by about 40 degrees! was pretty damn comfy.. Kind of wished I left the steering wheel as it was, aha!

You need to get the tracking done again to put the steering wheel straight. They should place a device on the steering wheel to keep it straight which rests on the seat, then they adjust the tracking and a quick road test is the only way to confirm if the wheel is really straight afterwards. You can't simply move the steering wheel a spline or two to get it straight because there is one larger spline at the bottom meaning the steering wheel can only go on in one position.

Lazy mechanic adjust only one TCA which puts the steering wheel out. They should adjust both sides equally if they are doing the job properly.

Nothing wrong with my method. Typically the steering wheel is off from wheel alignment, the mechanic forgets to make sure the steering wheel is straight, then adjusts the wheels central. I've replaced my peugeot steering wheel for the red and black cc one, it's not the hardest thing in the world...

So that would suggest he hasn't done the job properly and your tyres are going to scrub pretty quickly.
It's also not always possible to move it as it still is offset due to he splines .. and on some cars it has to go in a certain position or the indicators, etc and out of sync ... hence why turning one way flicks them off quicker that the other.
Take it back and get them to re-do the alignment properly including the steering wheel ...

Just moving the steering wheel doesn't solve the issue of why it's misaligned in the first place.
If it's because the tracking is out, it's still going to scrub the tyres and be more expensive in the long run, not to mention the safety aspect if the car isn't cornering properly.
We're becoming a world of Duck tape and WD40 repairers.

in general my steering wheel feels loose porobably get 30 degrees each way without any bite

I took it as the wheels were aligned but the steering wheel itself was out
