My 206 has been fine up until this morning, the whole car started vibrating and struggles to accelerate, but then has a sort of power surge every now and then. I am awaiting delivery of a new clutch but i don't think this is the problem. The engine management light is not on either, any help or feedback would be appreciated

sounds like coil pack failure...
does it sound like a tractor ?

Whilst struggling yeah it does, when i feed the power in gently it runs fine

is there a funny smell from the exhaust whilst she is chugging ?
and is the exhaust getting very hot ?

I'll find out, but ive looking into fauly coil packs and its showing most symptoms

Same thing happened to me with first morning chils. I changed my coil pack 2 month ago together with plugs. Strange thing is that it is running fine when hot. I find out that coil plug extensions were loose. Probably bad rubber. I have to mention that I got second hand coil pack. I replaced extensions with ones from old coil pack and I think that the problem went away.

check your plugs also could be a cheaper fix if thats the problem

Now I have RC8YCL Champion plugs less than 2 month old. Before I had Bosch super 4 fr78x. I had replaced in past years 3 sets of Bosch Super 4-s none of them lived longer than 1 year last set lived something like 3-4 month. I am suspecting that here in Bosnia and Herzegovina we get cheap turkish copies of Bosch plugs.
I get set for less than 18 pounds.
