My 1.4 16v sport's air box looks like it has been plastic welded, so I cant disconnect the air box from the induction pipe, i was unsure whether this is standard or if some idiot has done it themselves.

When i removed my air box it just pulled straight out, i've never heard of anything like this before mate.

that is how it is cause on that air intake pipe you have the oil breather pipe my aunts 206 is exactly the same

thanks for the info mate, tried to transfer the cone from the 8v to the 16v and the air box was plastice welded to the intake pipe, although i can remove the pipe i cant remove the airbox
