Has anybody ever replace their front ABS sensor? How on earth do you access the plug on the inner wing?

I did it on my GTi it's an absolute swine to get to, get somebody with thin hands in there. For some stupid reason they clipped the plug down to the inner wing as well just to make it even more awkward. Can't remember if I actually undid the top mount and lowered the engine slightly to make it easier.

The passenger side was hard enough but I might just leave the drivers side connected.

What are you doing? Taking the ABS out?
If you can get something to pull the cable to get the clip out of the wing it will be a lot easier.

The hub has been taken off to clean it up and re-spray it.

It can be dune, how ever it's a right pain.
I found I was able to use one hand squeezed down the gap with a small screwdriver to lift the securing lug and then wiggle it free.
Luckyily refitting is a lot Easyier. I would certainly recommend longs sleaves as we'll or your risk cutting your arm to bits.
