Hi I'm new here.
Have a question.
I own a 53 plate 206sw.
Does anyone know if the manifold and cat are one piece on a 1.4 petrol 206sw?
A car part shop says it is but another says the cat is a bolt on.
Any info would be great

Welcome to the site.
On my 1.4 8v the cat bolts to the manifold using 4 nuts. Never heard of the cat and manifold being one unit.

They should be separate parts. I have a hatch 1.4 petrol and can definitely confirm they are 2 separate parts. If you look in the engine bay and follow the manifold down, you should see where the cat is held on by 4 bolts. If you're planning on replacing the cat then give the bolts a dosing with penetrating spray about a week before and then everyday leading up to replacement, they can be a b1tch to get off. Oh and use the correct size socket.

Manifold and Cat are 2 diff. units ,as if you need to replace the cat, there is no need to take off the manifold for doing that
