Hello People
It's That time of year again to start talking about this year’s summer camping meet to be held on Aug 1st - 3rd, As many of you know we have now been running the annual camping meet for as long as the site has been running, (nearly)
This meet is open to all new and existing members on the forum. This year we will also be opening the meet to nwcoc.
The location is Buxton as this is roughly the middle of the country as the idea is to maximise the amount of attendants. Its also a great place for photos and has some amazing roads such as the Cat and Fiddle
More information can be found here: cold springs farm
The plan for the weekend is:
Friday > Arrive at the campsite 12pm Onwards, Set up base and relax Later on once everyone has arrived we can head off into town for a evening meal and a few drinks. Sometimes even stay on in town depending on what people want to do, again this is something that we can decide over food at the pub.
Saturday > Wake up, have a look at the cars, get to know everyone if you haven’t already.. You can also choose to head into Buxton itself to see what it has to offer. Towards the early/late afternoon we will start the BBQ.
Sunday > Pack the tents away and tidy up after ourselves. We have in previous years then laid the cars out for some photos for the forum and ourselves. Then head off to Morrisions, grab some breakfast and say are farewells.
The campsite that we stay at is called coldspringsfarm who have been more than accommodating over the years.
This year we have a few member's working on idea's to try and make this year better than last.
So lets make this the best Summer camping meet yet..
Prices are as follows:
£5 per person per night
£5 for the BBQ per person.
Total weekend will cost you £15pp
Please note that a confirmed £5 deposit will be asked for around the end of April in order to make things run smoothly and for you to be confirmed on the list.
Should you want to pop down for the Saturday, then Please feel free! More the merrier..
Here are some Previous meets that we have had over the years.

summer meet 2011

Enjoyed it when I went in 2012
As long as it doesn't clash with FCS and Pugfest I will more than likely go

Brilliant chaps will make sure that the dates selected do not clash, that way we get a few more people,
FCS is 06-08 June
Pugfest is 13 July
So all should be ok on that front.

If I can't get the weekend off work I'll come for a day for sure, would be good to finally meet you guys to put faces to names. I can't make the most popular date at the minute (1-3 Aug) I'm going away on the 3rd so if I don't make it down it's because of that reason

Might be worth noting that the 23rd - 25th is Saturday to Monday (Bank Holiday weekend)

Have to see what date is picked. I've got 4 birthdays and my wedding anniversary on 5 of those weekends. Only the last one is any good for me really, and then I will have to fiddle the rota to make sure I'm off.

Please put down a date that is most convenient for yourself, I have added a new option which if you are not bothered then please vote on the "Any weekend"
Thank you.
