hi all, i have read that the BSI can corrupt if the proper battery reconnection procedure is not folowed correctly. if it has been corrupted in this way will disconnecting and re connecting the battery in the specified sequence uncorrupt the BSI? the reason i am asking is that the 206 in question flashes its headlights every minuite or so and has a "bleep" coming from the dash or steering column shroud. i wondered if this was due to battery or another fault, any theories? its a 52 plate 1.1 look so multiplexed and does not have automatic head lights

You could try a BSI reset, although the headlight and beep could be related to the com2000 unit being faulty.

Have done a few bsi resets in my time with my beloved peugeot, and can say has sorted a few problems out, a new one on me cropped up the other day.

My rear wipers are programmed in the bsi to come on when reversing, and stopped working a couple of weeks back, (still worked with the wiper switch but not when reversing) did a bsi reset no joy.

Was cleaning out the inside of my car the other day, a good half hour which in turn activated the economy mode, radio on, doors open etc, i started her up and proceeded to reverse up the drive, and presto the wipers were working again. how weird new one on me.

You might find the reverse light switch has an intermittent fault Wink

Mine was like this for a while till I cleaned the switch, I noticed it was intermittently working as my 206 has parking sensors on & sometimes they wouldn't activate.
