Hello guys,

I'm new to the forum, and new to my new 206 Smile (first car). Already did a search query to look for the solution of this problem but it didn't work. Problem is my rear fog light isn't working. Whenever I put it on, the light on the dashboard goes on (indicating it's on) but nothing is happening at the rear. Front fogs are fine. After a Google search many people said to check fuse 'F19', which isn't stated in the manual and unfindable for me below the steering wheel and also under the hood...

I have a 3dr 2003 1.4 Quiksilver.

Hopefully somebody can help me out! Rolling Eyes

F19 is under the wheel and it is there, 5A fuse.
Stupid question but have you checked the bulb itself or the connector for that matter, easy 5 mind check if you haven't already before you go replacing fuses to no avail.

Hey,

Yeah, i'll try to put in another bulb then (i dont think that's it, i replaced a clear one for a red bulb now)but i'll check the connector. Hmm, so it should be there... weird. Only the front fogs are stated in my manual :/ Thanks in advance, i'll let you know how it went.

Your Google search is wrong. Fuse 19 has nothing to do with the fogs on a multi-plexed car. That is for pre-plexed. You'd be there all day looking for F19 on your car.

Multi-plexed rear fog isn't directly linked to a fused circuit. It has a circuit coming from the BSI, which in itself is fused.

Are you moving the switch twice? First twist turns the front fogs on, second turns the rear fog on.

You're right. It ain't there... Yes, I did put it on the front fogs(green light on dashboard) flashed and the yellow one for the rear flashed also on, but no light in the rear to be found... So any idea what I need to do with the BSI?

You could do with getting a multimeter on the fog lamp connector to see if power is reaching it and that it has a good earth and then working back from there.

Well, it's solved. It seemed the connector had a lose connection somehow because it works now... only con about it is that the new light isn't really fitting that well and is impossible to replace, but that's for later. The third brake light was a hell to replace.
