I have a 2001 peugeot 206 GLX...
I have a continuous but very slow leak, took it to the garage, they thought it to be the cover gasket, but wasn't. I took a look and decided the sump gasket to be my next port of call. but i changed that and yet still leaking.. just wondering where would be the best place to look next...
Oil level doesnt change much but becoming a pain leaving a oil puddle everywhere i go..
cheers...

Is it coming from the front, back or end of the engine?
Which engine? The GLX came in 1.4 and 1.6 petrol and 2.0 diesel. Might give someone a better idea of where to look

It may sound crazy, but I've seen plenty of the older TU engines (1.1, 1.4) start to 'weep' oil through the sump.
Symptoms would be similar, in a "where the feck is that coming from" kind of way, as drips will collect on the bottom of the sump, but it's hard to locate the source.
If the sump looks corroded, there's a good chance it might be something very similar.
Have you cleaned up the engine block above the sump gasket or even below, to at least get an idea of whether it is coming from higher up the engine (or even which side)?

Ive seen this before, but its very rare
It will be the headgasket, if a TU doesnt have a headgasket leak, its either been replaced in the last 1000 miles or has a decomp plate.
Headgaskets are only good for 10k

Did the garage use a genuine Peugeot gasket. has the rocker cover previously been deformed. Are they certain that the new gasket isn't still leaking?
