Hi guys,

Both my headlights are shot and need replacing.

Thinking about these as they aren't much more than standard lights

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301184744687

However they state they are for 1998-2009 models
But I thought 2003 the lights changed? Mine is a phase 2 and I was certain phase one lights wouldn't fit. However this add doesn't specify

They are depo headlights so hoping for quality.

Thanks in advance

It's looking as if I might have to. I wanted projectors though as think it makes the 206 front end a lot more modern

They provide a terrible light output though, might want to bare that in mind to.
Have an old set of frosted you can have for the price of P&P if you're in desperate need of some as a temp, if not they're going in the bin.

Are they easy to retro fit? I thought the wiring was completely different.

If the light output is that terrible then I won't
Bother with projectors. As I do a lot of night driving and rely heavily on the lights,

Will a hid kit not fit with projectors?

I put some hid's in my projectors, I think they are H7s if I remember. Between my foglights and the hid's I never have to use my high beams on dark nights on the twisty hilly roads around where I live. The headlights were on the car when I bought it they look a lot like the link.... Never have had a problem with water getting in them.

Just seen your's are H7's and mine are H4's not sure if your could retro fit, you would have to find out. Offer stands though if you need them, they're only taking up space.
I'm sure you could, but a £50 fine and VDRS isn't worth the hassle if you ask me.

Thanks I'll google to see if retro fitting is doable. And I thought hid were legal in projectors just not in reflectors. Which I would never do.

I just like the look of projectors but want to keep it as OEM as I can don't really want angel eyes.

Sounds exactly what I want! I do pizza deliveries and a lot
Of unlit roads and sick of the poor lighting of the halogen units.
Now they've broken I've a good excuse to upgrade to projectors.
Mot all go okay?

you can fit crystal on old 206 (need some tweak on the wiring), don't know if you can fit frosted on new 206. As the headlamp system is not the same.

I think crystal use 1 bulb for dip light and 1 bulb for main beam; frosted use the same bulb for dip and main beam

Yeah crystal has seperate h7 bulbs for dipped and main beam. Nobodies probably tried it. Why would
You downgrade from crystal to frosted anyway.

For HID's your car is supposed to have an auto leveling system and also a headlight washer system I believe for them to be considered legal, and of course to be in cased in a projector.

How strict is that rule? I can't see the police checking for auto levelling on a regular stop? Presumably just the projector casing which I would have anyway. I can't stand looking at hids in reflectors when they are coming at you head on and certainly wouldn't subject anyone else
To that by doing it myself.

Mot isn't really an issue as my mechanic wouldn't bother about washers or self levelling as
Long as they didn't blind oncoming traffic.
