Hi,
First post here, and unfortunately it is with an issue I'm having
I've looked around and it seems like the most common issue with the blowers not working is a resistor that goes.
First I want to check the fuse, but I'm not sure which fuse is responsible, I don't have the vehicle handbook to look it up, so in general I need to try and get hold of a fuse list if anybody knows of one online please let me know.
For now just knowing where they are (presume on the drivers side footwell) and which one to check for the blower/fan. Its a 1.6 206cc 2002 with Air Con.
Also, one last thing I'd like to check is if the resistor is in the same position in the CC as other 206 models?
Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Just regular Air Con. Does that help narrow anything down such as the potential list of issues?
Some more info...
The AC light comes on if I press the button, but the fans don't come on either way whether that's on or off.
Also tried it on all settings as I've read on here some people have the issue where only the highest settings works.

I've found out the resistor has overheated and melted the wiring loom. I was quoted between £180 and up to £250 including labour but I think i'm going to replace this myself.
I've seen some guides showing the heater resistor being accessible via the glove box, and others from the drivers side footwell, so just need to try and confirm where this will be accessible from on the 206cc.
Can anybody advise? I'm going to try and sort this at the weekend. I've found a site selling the replacement Loom and Resistor online, just need to cut the old one off and crimp the new loom in by the looks of it.

Here is a guide and information to work on.
my206xr.blogspot.co.uk...rking.html
There are 2 types of motors, the one above, and also one with the resistor built into the motor, (this has 2 connectors instead of 1 in the removal procedure, so get the parts after you have removed the motor.
Check inside your engine fuse box for any 40amp fuses.

Are the "Blower Fan Resistor" and "Heater Blower Resistor" two different parts? The first accessible from the glove box, the second (a green item) accessible via the footwell?

Same
The glove box is removed solely to make access to the motor easier.

I think the issue may be worse than I thought, apparently its something up at the back of the dash that has overheated and melted.
I got shown a photo of a blue connector with a few wires off it, and 1 of them had melted near the blue block. So is this something that requires taking pretty much the whole dash out to replace as they say?
At £250 I will probably have to do it myself anyway but sounds like a much bigger job now than I anticipated:(

The link DREWDEN posted looks like the same thing they have shown me a photo of at the garage.
It doesn't seem a massive job to do based on the guide, the hardest bit is removing the clock and warning lights.
I was going to buy this replacement item...But i'm guessing I was about to buy the wrong thing, as it looks nothing like in the guide linked to: www.heaterblowerresist...istor.html
The item in the guide is what I need to replace, according to the photo that the garage showed me today. Is the item in the heaterblowerresistor.co.uk site the same thing, as it looks very different?
Job seems easy to do, just got to make sure I am ordering the right thing
