Hi all,

I have a 1.6 16V 206 car. My problem is, the accelerator pedal does not work suddenly. Even if i push it to the end, no rpm changes. If I stop and work engine again, it works normal.
I take it to the service, they connect the car to pc, and they say "Accelerator pedal sensor" fails. We need to change this part. But this part is very expensive(almost 350£). Part code is 1920-x1.

Are there anyone who has seen this problem before?

That part you have displayed is for a HDI, you probably require the throttle body they mean.

Here is a link for a throttle body:

They need to be coded and the throttle position set by peugeot planet

The potentiometer/throttle pedal sensor is Peugeot only for new

Thanks. How did you understand it is for HDI? At service, the pc showed the same part, even the image was the same.

I agree with Addaz, the pic you shown is an HDi engine,as the 1.6 16V don't have this part, your car got an Electric throttle body, that needs to be configured ,and learned.

I wanna explain my problem again.
Accelerator pedal does not working for random times.(5 times in 10km, no fail for 300km, 2 times in 50km)
The car works normally but pedal does not work even if i push it to the end, and no rpm change(like i am not pushing it)
I stop the car and start the engine again, it works for the 1st or 2nd or 3rd time.
It fails 1st or 2nd gear, not at the first start of the engine.

I am confused that if it will be occur at high gears. There is an accident risk.
