Hi, a friend at work brought a V reg 206 in for MOT. It failed on a number of things which I've repaired but the airbag light fault is confusing me slightly.
From what I can see underneath the car has had a back end smash and the boot floor was badly pumped out :/
I stuck pp2000 on it and got faults with both seatbelt pre tensioners had triggered, open circuit, and a triggered seatbelt fault. The strange this is the seatbelt's work fine. I'm guessing they may have been replaced.
Does the airbag ecu need to be replaced or could there be a fault with wiring,etc.

The airbag ecu will need the crash data clearing

You will have to remove it and send it off to be done, PP2000 can't access it neither can most of the other generic code readers tbh.

For what a working / unfired non plexed 206 airbag ecu can be picked up for it would be cheaper to just replace it.

Seat belts can work fine but can have been triggered in the ecu
Or just failed in general
