Hi Guys,

I am looking to take a perm live feed for various items that need power.

I don't want to run a cable through the firewall from the battery.

Currently I have an ignition live from the thick red cable below the steering wheel going into the fuse box.

There are 2 further cables going into the fuse box, is one of these perm live?

Have a look at the wiring diagrams, Don't know if your car is pre-plex or multi-plex so the link to both is here.
Look to see which wires are from the battery and cross reference with the wire numbers on the car. Don't go off colours as they are not always the same.

I've tested all wires going into the front of the fuse box and theyre all ignition live.

It's a pre-plex 206

Cigarette lighter has a perm live if your fuse is positioned correctly.

I would recommend feeding from the lives in the engine bay, and not feeding off something else.

A. Your likely to blow a fuse
B. the wiring wont be designed to carry extra ampage and will melt.

This^

Unless its only footwell LED's in which case the current draw is so low that tapping into another source will have no adverse effects.
