Hi,

I am thinking about replacing the front bumper of my 206 with one that has the front fog lights already installed.

I figure by the time I buy the lights spend time cutting holes I could just by the part and switch them over.

My question is though Is there already the functionality to switch the front fog lights on in the car? I've heard that the wiring should already be tied up behind the existing bumper.

As before its a 2004 (29th December) 54 Plate 1.4 206 5 Door (AC).

Thanks in advance

Well before you start this project and buy a front bumper with fogs, you need to have a look behind the headlights, and look for a 2 pin grey plug, fixed on a plastic base,if this plug is there,it means you have the harness ready for fog lights.

Then you need to have someone with PP2000 to activate the front fog lights option for you in the BSI,and set it to (Present),and use your headlights stalk to switch them on/off that same way used for rear fog light, but in this way,the front fogs always work before the rear.

So if all went well and you got them working, that is a good thing, but if it didn't work, means you have to get another Engine Fuse Box unit,a one that support having fog lights.

Good Luck,
Tim

That also means you need a COM2000 unit with both front and rear fog light settings ..
Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Which is every COM 2000 Unit, the front fog option is just a digital switch inside the BSI unit. The com unit's completely dumb as to weather or not front fog's are present.

There is even a sticker available on Peugeot / Citroen parts system to change the symbol from just the rear fog lamp over to front & rear fog lamps.

Before you ask I dont know the part number.

As for retrofitting front fogs to a multiplexed 206, you MAY need to change the BM34 unit under the bonnet as the poverty spec ones dont have the fuse holder or circuitry required for front fogs.

Second hand BM34 with required front fog fuse & circuitry is plug & play if your car needs it.

Hello.
Most car makers these days fit a standard loom to all cars. In this case I would expect your car will have the wires running to the last junction before the Front Fog Lights. It is easier and quicker to do this than have a loom made for each car. You would need to put a fuse in the fuse box that covers them and a relay it they require one.Again I would expect those to be wired in ready just use the car Fuse Box list and use the dedicated spaces. Not sure about the Light Switch as mine you use the same On/Off for both Rear and Front Lights. First twist Upwards? switches On the Rear Fog Lights. Second time switches On the Rear. Same for switching them Off Front first then Rear
