Hi, I have just bought a new interior for my wife's 2001 2.0l 206cc. The old seats have two sockets underneath for the airbag connectors but the new seats have three! Could anyone please tell me which socket the other plug goes into ( the green one is a no-brainer) ?

What colour plugs do you have on the CAR side of the loom?

What colour plugs do you have coming from the SEAT?

The connector plug set up & wiring changed from non multiplexed to multiplexed electrical systems.

Hi MrBSI

On the CAR side there is a flat red two pin plug with orange/yellow wires and a green/yellow plug with two green/yellow wires.

On the new SEAT there is a flat green three pin plug with three wires, a white plug with a shorting link and a grey plug with a shorting link.

How much of a pain is it to swap the airbags over?

Your cars non plexed & the replacement seats are from a multiplexed 206.

One x M6 bolt & then side airbag is hooked in to the seat frame.

Un clipping the edge of the airbag from around the seat material can be tricky.

The white plug is for the seat belt not fastened warning light ( if fitted to your car )

Grey plug - no idea.

Check the wires as there should be codes printed on them.
Green / yellow is earth.

I use Superseal connectors for these, very cheap & there reliable.
Crimp & solder the pin terminals.

DON'T be tempted probe any of the airbag wiring with a multimeter / test light!
