Yeah I they "should" be working as they are all brand new bulbs. Also I put the old bulb back in after I got fed up of the new ones not working and it worked again! But then changed it in the exact same way and no luck!
It believes me that the new bulbs don't work but they seem to be working!
Can I see the metal contacts If I take the screen out?

IIRC if you peek through the holes for the bulbs I think you only see the wrong side of the circuit board, so I think you need to split the casing to see them...
But I'd really really look into checking the bulbs to KNOW their status.
A 9V battery and a paperclip would do... No one more 'electrically inclined' among family and friends?

I have just tried all of them in different ways again and I must of got super lucky, they all now power on! I am not going to touch those annoying things again!
It seems learning to do simple electrics will only help me so thanks for the feedback on that, I will do some learning!

I must sound like an absolte numpty for asking this but...
What orange film?? Is it on the front or the backing of the diplays ...
Any pics or instructional....
