Hello Forum Members

As normal i suspect a first post asking for help !

My son a paramedic student has the above car and lately due to a oil leak i replaced the head gasket, car has run like a dream for 4 weeks and racked up some miles as he uses it to get to and from placement training with East Midland Ambulance service commuting from Birmingham.

HOWEVER

It cut out on the M6 at speed after some hesitation (missfire), and had to be recovered by the AA, its now home, engine starts and runs for around 20 seconds fine, then just stops.

No codes stored
Fuel rain pressurised ok
Replaced Crank Sensor incase it was breaking down
All earth cables ok
Checked and cleaned all the multi plugs i could find
Checked all fuses with a meter

Vehicle is a Petrol Manual 2002 and the fault is persistent
Any ideas anyone, or anyone with a good diagnostic close to B27 that would like to nip around for a drink ? Crying or Very sad

Could this be the immobiliser ?

It shouldn't start if it's the immobiliser. Which engine is it? It could be a faulty coilpack (They tend to have some odd behaviours). When it's running if you floor the accelerator is there any hesitation/sign of misfire?
