Hi guys, so the CC went in for it's technical inspection yesterday (our MOT basically) and whilst it did pass, the guy said that it needed a new "Sworzen" on the drivers side. After doing som google-translate-fu...I THINK i know what he is talking about, but I wanted to check with you guys before ordering anything.

So..a Sworzen is a control arm pin - one of these - www.iparts.pl/czesc/sw...cHEALw_wcB

but he also said that when I do it, I might as well replace the whole assembly as it is showing wear (the roads here are terrible at best). So, if i buy the following, would it also include the much needed part above?

allegro.pl/oferta/komp...8376668675

So, TLDR, does the second link include the part in the first link or do I need to buy both?

Thanks very much all!

The ball joint is part of the arm .. they are not replaceable separately .. so the 2nd kit.

And make sure you get CC/GTi arms as the standard ones are made of soft cheese and last 5 mins in a CC .. one bush has more metal .. they look right in photo ... you probably will need new drop links too.

The 4 plastic covers in that picture .. I'm pretty sure they are just to protect the balljoint in transit!! Smile

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Thanks for the info Gaz. That kit is for the GTi, so should be up to scratch (i hope!). From the looks of it, that second link i gave also includes the drop links doesn't it? (sorry for a dumb question, but don't want to make a mistake here...doing it through a language i'm not great at complicates things immensly!)

GTi and CC are same.

That kit appears to include shocks and track rod ends too (as well as 4 plastic covers you bin anyway!) .. I never had to change these on a Pug when changing the lower arms.
