bit of a daft question but would 195/45/15s fit my standard gti alloys as i have only ever had 185/55/15
any help would be mint

I'd go with 195/50/15 mate as they will keep the speedo more accurate then the 45 profile tyres.

Yeh it will be a slightly harsher ride...I've had 40 profile tyres on my 17" and also when I had my 106 with 16" and the tyres definately pick up alot more of the road surface.

i dont even know were my standard ecu is paul i've looked for it and been meaning to ask were they hid it/or if my new k3 has everything isn't it??
but with the car running and the software running it says how hot the car is and when the fan kicks in and its all correct, as when it was all done matt left me a thermostat wire as we didn't know where to put it as the standard one needed to be used to work the k3.
so we put another stat in the thermo housing so my gauge in the dash wold work

If your original ECU has been removed and the Emerald used to do everything including road speed that's pretty thorough...seems a bit of unnecessary work though when leaving the original ECU is an option.

In my friends car is running with our built megasquirt standalone ecu with factory ecu replacment. Speedo is direct working. Its reading value from ABS unit. But we have a little problem with tacho.
