ZOMG... someone has actually removed the FAP!!! i love you mate! lol
any issues with removing it? and how was it removed from the car? did you just stick the new pipe on and plug the sensors back in or was the FAP mapped out of the ECU?
i'm going to be getting mine done shotly.
edit: oops, i didn't read the whole thread...
180HP! sweet!
are you changing the DMF for a SMF and what clutch you planning on using?

i said...eletronic and fisically...
you need to plug the sensors back in the new downpipe...and mapped the ECU its almost the same as a REMAP... to fake in ECU that the FAP is there..and put standard values... is the only solution to avoid SAFES

why put the sensors back in? if they've been mapped off the ECU then you can remove them completely surely???

DMF = Dual Mass Flywheel
SMF = Single Mass Flywheel
and i think that's going to be the way forward for the clutches, upgrading a standard one...

well if you look under the car or opening the hood the Police or in the annual inspection at the car at the first look its almost like stock... is to avoid problems with the police
the sensors need to be placed only to signal the presence... and i have performs more than 3 years and never gave trouble...

ah! i get it now!
well the dual mass have a capacity to support until 350 nm...and you dont reach only whit a new map...so....
to reach more power...well use the same clutch..but more stronger... if not I am mistaken the material that is using is kevlar its for a life

What? You actually removed EGR and FAP system! I cant seem find where the EGR located. Any chance of produce one of downpipe for the FAP system so we can produce here for others so its will be fitted same time as remap?
So this would work better?
