Just found these guys on the net by accident
www.autotrim.co.uk/index.html
seems interesting.
anyone ever tried anything like this?
could be a roughly £500 way of having a leather retrim to your seats. iirc thats half what an upholsters would cost you.
fitting them yourself shouldnt be too great a task with a bit of patience. and sum tips off internet and tv (wheeler dealers )
i may give them a call this week and see whats what.

yea definately, ill ask for a quote on a standard kit (2 tone leather) and lets say some coloured stitching for front and back seats and a bit spare for my door card inserts and ill post the quote here.
im sure they will get a lot of business if its good ill also ask about a group buy discount.
stay tuned

nice idea, but a full leather interior sets you back around £250-£300

yea, there will be a chunk of people who will just say 'get a gti/180' interior, but i personaly dont care for either of them.
And all the second hand half leather interiors i have seen have rips, cracks etc in them.
so this is definately an inviting option to look into.

yea i was thinking cream tooo hehe
or i was thinking matt black leather, with perforated center panels with some red or white stitching or something, you know something subtle but still unique.
im seriously considering using that di noc carbon fibre stuff to do a few bits in my interior, so something like that would compliment it well, continue the grey and black mean theme im going for with the pug.

There was another company that did this a few years ago, they didnt get particularly good reviews.
A decent retrim will set you back around £1500, and something that seems too good to be true normally is. Try and see some examples of their work before you shell out £500 hard earned.

ah dude, yea i always thought about nicking the leather interior out of our 406, but i dont like shiny/glossy leather, as it just reminds me of those nasty cheap tarts boodwa leather seat covers in halfords.
so thats why im looking into this company, see what they can offer, at the worst, they dont fit, i phone them up and give them an ear ache untill they either refund me or send me the correct kit.
