If I got an ecu from a same engine but from
A different car Ie 306 2.0l hdi would it be plug and play on my car ?

No, it is linked to BSI and key transponder.

Just as I need a backup ecu incase the 1 I'm
Mapping ever messes up .

They do actually. It's more simple than a multiplexed BSi but still present. It's located near the fusebox.
