First off, hope everyones alright an that? Never been massivly into cars untill I got my pug, so not the must clued up fella and any advice will be appreciated.
Right then, cold air feeds, has any one done this and what are your thoughts and opinions?
Been thinking about an air intake mod for a while now, and after reading reviews and searching about have come to think that a replacment panel filter compaired to a cone is the better option.
Soo, I think I am gonna replace my panelfilter with a foam one from piper cross.
I read a good howto from 206gti.net which covered the restrictions of the oem air intake location which is in the wheel arch. Was thinking of removing the left fog light and fitting a cold air feed directly to the box.
Anyone done this?
The first issue that springs to mind is unwanted things getting in, bugs ect, could put some gauze there to counter this but then there is always the issue of water! When driving about, seam to notice that puddles are more oftern than not closest to the curb, and this makes me think it isnt such a good idea!
Could start at looking at putting the cold air feed into the right hand fog slot, but I think this would be less benificial and reduce performance?

I think you have the basics sorted, In my opinion, and you are right in thinking that cold air is beneficial to your performance. I would also agree on the air filter filling up with bees. The reason that peugeot put it down there is for that reason, No bees and cold air. I would look at the idea of putting it a little higher up to prevent water getting in, putting it under the wing to stop bees getting in and fit a splash guard to prevent puddles getting in... all that asside..... a very small man in a french office who designs cars just did it all for you......

If you want more power... throttle bodies. Better than a cold air feed any day.

ok lets say u swing with the feed going to the fog light. if u click on the link above then click english at the top to translate, and in the side menu click '206' then 'RCC' then look for the option 'Alimentation air 2' they do actually show a kit designed for this even though it looks abit pricey.....

what about the grill on your front bumper.. if you make some sort of cold air piping system from there like making a hole and having somesort of lip around the hole if you know what i mean?
iv been thinking about doing this idea.
another option is modifying the headlight, but that means you cant really drive at night =(

@martynmofo, yeah I can see where your coming from, seen a few headlight intake mods before looking about online, some motors they look realy smart but never seen it done on a 206 before... could be ideal for the track but yeah when it comes to road driving at night could become a bit of an issue.

Right might sound a bit bone, but does anybody know the diameter of the gap in the bumper where the fog light sits (when the fog is removed, and specifically left hand side)?
Looking for somthing like this...
