Hey folks,

Im confused (it doesnt take much, but hear me out...lol)

My car has sensors & the sensor deactivator button, but no working alarm.
I have searched through here for answers and still no joy. I have tried opening the bonnet (just on latch) and pressing the fob- no beep, just lights as usual when it locks. I locked myself in the car and tried to set the sensors off- nothing. I read about dead locking the car, but mine is preplexed, so no dead lock I am aware of...

So, I appear to have the kit for an alarm, but its either broken, missing or im just really stupid...lol

Help would be appreciated from you loverly people please :o)

Thanks

Lou x

On your key you should have two buttons one larger one and a smaller one. Try locking the car with the larger one then press the smaller one straight after. This will dead lock it, then unlock the car manually using the key in the door lock, as you then open the door the alarm should sound.

Hope that helps.

If you leave anything in the car (like a dog or small child) you can deactive the internal sensors by pressing and holding the alarm sensor switch (situated on the rear of the handbrake console). the dash display should display a message.

Anyone got any ideas why the alarm keeps going off?! Its driving me mad! its every half hour!

Ive read that the sensors arn't motion sensors, so what could it be folks?

90% sensors, disable the ultrasonic sensors by holding down the button by handbrake. Then set the alarm and see if i goes off randomly.

If it doesnt, then new sensors. about £27 from pug, around 20mins fitting.

If the alarm keeps going off all of the time, the sensors are nackered. Their about £25 from pug and quite easy to fit yourself (pug will want about £95 all in). There is a guide on here under the "how to" section Wink
