I changed from my 2004 206 1.4 to a 1988 Volvo 360 2L for a few reasons:
-older car easier to do work on
-Cheaper insurance for what it is (cost 15p more to insure than the pug)
-Pug kept going wrong and needing expensive repairs
-mods for the peugeot are so expensive
-wanted something bigger and more doors
-RWD fun
-More power
-safer IMO
-lower milage car, pug was overdue a cambelt change
-wanted something i can learn new things like restoration, welding and general restoration
the pug wasn't bad i loved it (but so did the garage i paid to fix it every month)
only thing i miss is the central locking

the 206 is a nice car and we do all love them or we wouldnt be on here lol but lets face it there is better cars out there and alot of people seem to forget that! i got my XSi as its perfect for what i use it for...general social driving, to my girlriends, to work and back and its got a little bit of go in it. i dont do alot of miles and as im only 18 i dont really have alot of other things to pay for so i can afford to put the majority of my cash into making it look nice which has turned into a hobby. And when people say they are forever breaking i guess ive got some kind of special lucky one that doesnt break, touch wood! As for why people would sell them, well i would sell mine when insurance on something a little bigger and with more power is reasonable to insure!

I'm selling mine because I can afford something better and am very disappointed about not getting the bodies done. Nothing wrong with it, loved the car, just time to move on.
Boxster or M3 next!
