my Point is you can offer more while you still have the 206,that is the whole point, hope you understand |
Not really.
A mate of mine from another forum doesn't own a 206 but is a Peugeot Master Technician. If he was to use this forum, by your theory he'd have little or nothing to give as he doesn't actually own a 206.
Do you think the minute someone hands the keys over for their 206 their knowledge of the car goes out the window and they forget anything that may be of use to others? If so, then

Further to G's note, why didn't you say that instead of saying that you must own a 206 to be on this site? Or the moderator should be replaced because he hasn't got a 206, or that they should pretend to still own a 206 when speaking to other people on the forum, or that they shouldn't criticise a 206?

Its sarcasm He has no reason to apologise, just because you don't own a 206 doesn't mean you know nothing about cars. People are allowed to say they are s**t cars, its freedom of speech.
Plus some people just come on here because they have mates on here.

This topic got out of hand IMO. Saying that i think its a decent topic that Timon started.
My reason for selling up (when I do) is that the gti is getting on a bit now with over 100k miles and has just cost me a small fortune with MOT, service, cambelt and a few bits and pieces here and there.
Its a real love/hate thing with it which i guess is what a lot of us feel from time to time. I love the way it looks , even for an old car and the power to weight is actually really good. You get a lot of good standard luxuries on higher spec models that people seem to forget. (leather, CC, cd changer, auto wipers +lights, SP parts such as pedals, filler cap, vents etc etc).
My main reason for not selling yet is that I cannot really find a car as powerful, good looking and have the luxuries as standard for anywhere near the price I would get if I sold the Pug.
So i'm stuck with it....
Great.
