my car is due tyres, as in right now there all bald, a mate quated me £50 a tyre and then what ever it is to fit them, the nimrods only cost me 250 with tyres... it just seems steep paying 200 for tyres alone when i could maybe get decent preowned wheels with ok tread.
anyone know of any half decent cheapo tyres?

You pay for what you get. Pay £30 per tyre and you end up in the next ditch. Pay £70 per tyre they last 10k+ miles

No
Have a look on ebay for part worn tyres if you are running low on dough, i managed to get 2 x Pirelli 205/40/R17 with about 5mm tread for £65...

I'd even rather buy some ditch finders than part worn, because they could have had half a dozen punctures and fitted on the wrong size alloy thus stretching them and making them dangerous.

why use cheap tyres? they are the only things which makes contact to the road lol
if the tyre lost traction, you dead. end of discussion lol
wouldn't ever think of using cheap tyre, buget tyres, or even second hand tyre lol

prada's dont tend to last all that long best iv seen was 8k on the fronts.
buget's are ok if say you go to asda and back one a week and dont really drive all that far (and id still be checking them every other day lol)
if you actreally drive like a normall person and wont new tyres go for :
Bridgestone (best tyres imo but pricey)
nankangs
goodyear
yoko's
toyo
falkan (what i put on good price and last a good few miles)
conti's
perelli
you get what you pay for really and cheap tyres are made cheaply and the tyres arnt checked (1 in every 500 or somthing is cheacked) befor being sold there not werth the risk or the money.
