its the 2.0 8v N/a injection

Yeah porsche style rear axle (de dion) with leaf springs. 2 degrees -ve camber as standard Very Happy Rear mounted box straight onto diff with some sort of torque tube or something.

Love the wheels like, hopefully getting 2 rubbered and fitted tomorrow now i've got them sprayed and nearly mirror polished Very Happy

Cheers for the comments!

The switch is to turn the guages on and off as i can't wire it to any electrics inside the cabin, has to go straight onto the alternator as the inside voltage is regulated to 10v

Sun roof has gone on strike stuck in the up-at-one-side-down-at-the-other position lol Sad

Will whack a few more pics up soon if people are still looking Very Happy

Cheers

new wheels, love them! only two at the moment, need slightly lower profile tyres 185/60 R14s as opposed to the 185/65s that are on at the moment and a 1 or 2 inch drop front and back. well when i have the money. Also looking at leather seats, uber rare volvo guage holder and rear speakers. still, parts are cheap for these Very Happy

can't remember whats been done since last update so here's a list of whats been done to date:

2x 'Leo' alloys on the back (still waiting to do other two)
JVC head unit with aux in and MP3 cd compatibility
Alpine 10cm speakers in the front (due to be changed back to volvo ones)
Sub and wiring removed
Lots of parts cleaned and polished
Bright orange volvo badge on front grille but take it off for photos / shows etc.
Guage holder now removed
Pipercross filter removed

and a couple of pics from my holiday in seahouses:

Yeah, got all 4 done and on 185/60 14s instead of 185/65s. The laquer over the polished part has peeled off in patches so they are looking a bit sorry for them selves, need re-sanding and polishing. Yellow fog lights were done last weekend. Got a badgeless grille thats nearly finished to go on soon. Sub has been put back in and guages removed.

Now i'm saving for my own welder so i can fix the rot and start making stuff.

Thanks for looking Smile

Nice work, the 3 doors look not bad at all. All the best on the self-taught welding front unless you already know how to??

cheers, the 3 door is a mark 2 and thy look better anyway, still mine's practical Very Happy

I'm doing a part-time Mig welding course, i wouldn't dare set about welding up the holes if i had no idea. Only problem now is that a mig looks to be more expensive than the course :/ Hopefully i can find a 2nd hand one with a bottle, they cost 70 quid a year to rent before you get the gas Sad

missed out on some leather seats for it, seen a porsche 944 in a scrappies so might look to get the front seats out that Very Happy

Lowering is high on the want list too, looking to go down about 2"

Thanks for looking Very Happy

Badgeless grille has made it look like a bit like a Talbot Solara/Alpine Laughing
Also resembles a Renault 18 strangely Shocked

Electric fan

The car is great in the snow! fun and sensible

Before fly-eye

After fly eye
Cant use it on the head lights, my wipers would take it off

Started to refurbish the leo's as the winter hadsn't done them any good so far:

So i sanded the 'dish' down and got some shocking paint:

Should look good, i think
Opinions more than welcome!
