Charcoal Faux Suede...3 Metres worth as it to cover the rood lining and pillar covers.

Anyway...

How cold does it wanna be :@

 


Tried to get the interior stripped to get the pillar covers and the rooflinings off. But only managed to get the a and b pillars off and also got bits like grab handles and stuff off the roof.

The C Covers can't be done as they are really intrecate. May have a go if we've got any material let over.

Gloss Black 16" Nimrods

 


The yellow dust is from the powdercoat.

I'm really impressed with the finish Smile

Going to be getting some Ultralite Gloss Black Bolt-In Alloy Wheel Valves.

Would have loved to get some flush valves but with the wheels it can't be done as they've got like a area which is set in which wouldn't let the valves to be used.

Also getting some Black Nut Covers.

Centre caps are going to be done by the bodyshop so I can professional finish on them and look right. I'm going to be getting the lion done in moonstone blue.

Was p**sing around with the camera earlier and has polished and waxed up one of the wheels so decided to try and get some pics of it. Only managed to get one just to show you the quality of the finish.

 


I think the boot fill will definately get done but not just yet as I've not got the money Sad I've decided that after looking at the pic of the moonstone blue sw with the bootfill I'll definately be getting colour coded side strips etc.

Once the car goes into the bodyshop it will be having the following things done to it as well as the repairs and colour coding;

- Gloss Black GT Bumper Grille
- Gloss Black Rof Gutter Strips
- Gloss Black Roof Racks
- SW Badge to be refinished in Gloss Black
- Tailgate Peugeot Lion badge done in Gloss Black
- Gloss Black Mirrors (Mirror caps staying Moonstone Blue)
- Moonstone Blue Rear Bumper Cover

+ more...may take the fogs apart and do them in Gloss Black aswell.

Bit of an update...

We've managed to get the grille sorted now. Going to be gettin it all cleaned up etc and get a final layer of filler on it so it's all smooth etc.Try and get it done to the best of our ability so that it's less work for the guys at the bodyshop.

 


Nimrods are up for sale @ £275 as I need the money for Uni once again as my student loan still hasn't come through Sad But like I said before the money from my MAMs and also these will come straight out of my student loan and go toward a set of wheels that I want.

I am looking around and tbh I'm still sort of looking at keeping it OEM so Nimrods are the favourites atm.

Also...

Just won a beige SW load cover for the bargain sum of £36.72 Very Happy

Load cover arrived last week Smile just need to give it a good clean and I'll get some pics.

Also I managed to get the centre caps completely rubbed down to the bare plastic and then rebuild them up in gloss black. Didn't get any during pics as my dad did them while I was at work.

Bit of an update

Got the fog lights out of the bumper today so I can get them opened up and get the insides sprayed gloss black. The SW doesn't have the wiring loom for the fog lights so the lights will just be there for show unless my dad can get hold of the loom for them and I will wire them into the side lights.

 


Passenger wing went on so I could make some room in the car as I'm in the middle of stripping the interior out for the roof & pillar cover retrim but also as I'm going to be replacing it for my leathers.

 


Also pic of the load cover that I bought the other week.

 


I will get some updates as soon as the cars stripped out and we've managed to work out what where going to be using for getting the suede to stick to the lining and covers.

Well as everyone knows I've been wanting a set of D90s for this since the day I've had it and since selling the MAMs and the Nimrods I've been doing abit of research on the D90s.

I found that I wanted 8J all rounds which had a offset of ET55 which would immediately mean that I needed a 40mm width adapter for them to be brought out to ET15...no problems I thought.

Now I'd asked about it on here for the hub adapters but thought I'd find out from a specialist about them. Stud patterns of 4x108 (Pug PCD) and 5x130 (Porka PCD) are very close to one another and that they may have to be custom made.

Well was quoted £250 for a set of 4 hubcentric hub adapters with the shallow head bolts to bolt them the hub and use original Porka bolts to bolt the D90s to the adapters.

Got a message of the wheel specialist saying that they can be made but there's a possibility of them being stucturally unsafe with bolt holes being very close to one another making the adapters possibly weak at certain between the holes.

He's still trying to find out about them but if they can be done with structural safety as the main point then I'll buy a set of D90s and have them made but otherwise it's a no goer.

I'm also trying to get hold of a set of GTi180 17" Vortex wheels which I will have powdercoated in Gloss Black and have stretched tyres fitted on them as I was going to do with the Nimrods. Also buy the Black nut covers and bolt in black valves. I will also be getting a set of 10mm spacers to set these out onto the arch.

So lets see how things go.

Interiors completely stripped to make way for the rooflining to come out and be trimmed Smile

 


 


 


 


I then got the standard handbrake swapped over with a GTi handbrake which has the brushed metal button on it.

 


 


Also got the centre console out as I'm going get it completely redone in gloss black as there's quite a few imprefections in it atm.

Dad's just walked through the door, picked up a wallpaper scrapper and taken the roof lining off Surprised it's held on by the tiniest amount of glue in the world lol.

 


Just need to find a suitable adhesive for the suede now.

Uz, is there anything else that holds the fogs in the bumper?? are there any part numbers on them. im only asking to see if there are any differences between them and sports or non-sports fogs.

The MT2's aren't bad but wouldn't be my choice personally as I don't think it would look as unique as it could on the Mono's. I think if you pull the Mono's off it could look pretty special, just think you'd need to nail it in the lowering department though, and combined with a little stretch and poke it could look properly cool.... basically get the stance right and it'll be epic. You gonna have the arches rolled?
