Has Anyone Used A Pump For An Oil Change?

I'm wanting to do an interim oil change but where I am now is pretty difficult, not exactly easy to jack it up etc. and I don't fancy paying someone to do it...

I've looked online about these vacuum pumps (particuarly the Pela 6000) which suck the oil out through the dipsitck hole. Some other forums say that they're pretty good and it's the only way to change oil on a Smart car.

Has anyone had any experience with these on a 206?

Yeah some cars don't have sump plugs, so using a pump is the easy way out of it, however I wouldn't do it as you will never get all the oil out with a pump.

Just buy some ramps...Machine Mart do them for about £25 a pair.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

I was only planning on using it for an interim oil change, I usually do a main one in my GF's dad's workshop (he has a pit) in the spring. Some people reckon they can get 4l out of their sump which has a total capacity of 4.2l, which I don't think is too bad.

even with my lowered car i just jacked it up a bit, undone the plug and lowered it down till it was empty. Laughing

Trouble is ....that last .2 litres has all the nasties in it at the bottom of the sump

i agree with edward, once the oil is in circulation, all the crap should be trap in the filter lol
